When the plastic pump in my dispenser began to pump liquid out the bottom and onto the sink rim, I pumped hot water through the unit to make sure that the spout was not creating too much pressure on the pump. I took it apart and inspected the internals and decided that the pump must need replacement (as described in the instructions).
The response I received from Grohe indicated that "We no longer have replacement parts for this model. We have re-designed it. You would have to purchase 28751SD1."

Guess what; I don't have to purchase a new dispenser from Grohe. I'm replacing it with a dispenser from a different manufacturer. This is an expensive, heavy unit that the manufacturer should offer replacement plastic internal parts for. Otherwise, what value does a "Lifetime Warranty" provide. It did pump liquid soap for more than six years, but a unit of this caliber should be serviceable for a lot longer than six years.
